So, I have spent less time with my tireless ramblings and more time getting my website done. I have finally buckled down and started to work on it, for real real. As opposed to my past lame attempts to put something together. But I am happy to report that there has been major progress and I am really happy with the direction that things are heading. It feels kind of odd to come home from spending my day designing to spending time designing my own stuff. But it has also been exciting and serves as a reminder of why I became a designer in the first place.
The past few weekends have been busy. We went up to Michigan for a weekend to see the Critchfield family and to see my brother and his family. We had a splendid time with both, Ethan had a blast with Owen on the slip and slide/bouncy castle adventure course and then hung with his cousin and went on a pony ride and enjoyed the joys of cable tv. We also got to take the new car on a little road trip, enjoyed the cheap gas prices and was painfully reminded of Michigan's mosquito population.
This past weekend, Andi came into town to "continue her education." Which translates into bars, couch time, naps, dinner, a game night, brunch, couch time, a bbq, a movie and an eventual sad parting. She likes to taunt me with the idea that she will eventually move back, but I know better and enjoy her company when I have it. And in a few short weeks, we will all reunite in Minneapolis for a fun filled 4th of July.
That is a brief synopsis of the events of the past two weeks. Our dance card is currently full, this weekend there are a lot of plans but few actual decisions and then next weekend we will be hosting a lot of family for my cousin's wedding. I am happy to have some warm weather, even happier that I can get outside and run again and am incredibly thankful for the great friends to spend these summer days with.
