The new year is off to a good start. Although the state of Massachusetts might have ruined it today...and I suppose the good people of Haiti might also disagree. But in my small little world, things are going a-ok.
We had an exhausting weekend. We saw lots of friends, cooked some really delicious food, had a few cocktails and played way too much Settlers of Catan. Three nights in a row with three different sets of friends. And sadly, I only won once. We also went to an engagement party, went bowling, saw Sherlock Holmes (highly entertaining), and B got a fancy new haircut.
As of late we have been obsessively watching True Blood. It's our new Mad Men. But season 2 is coming to a quick end, so we have been told to watch the Wire. I find that it's kind of lame to watch these shows after everyone else has, because no one can really remember what happen or they don't want to talk about if for fear that they will ruin it because they can't really remember what happen. It's a lose lose situation. We need to find new friends that are a few seasons behind watching most tv shows that we heard were good. Maybe I will start a Meetup Group for People who Caught on to a Show a Few Seasons behind, but probably not. Due to the daunting task of trying to catch up on Lost before it starts the final season, but I still have 11 episodes to go and I am going to be honest, it's not looking good.
In other less then exciting news, I am now in two book clubs. And I find that reading on deadline seems to disagree with me. I inevitably find myself procrastinating. But yet, I find myself suggesting to start book clubs left and right with enthusiasm. I think something is misfiring in my brain. And on that note, I leave you.
